This initial intervention wheeled extinguisher incorporates Ansul’s renowned quality with Williams’ specialized highly-visible “PKW™” Dry Chemical. Ansul’s “PKW™” wheeled fire extinguisher has a total dry chemical capacity of 300 lbs. It is equipped with a quick opening valve and regulator to maintain a constant pressure and flow throughout the total extinguisher discharge. Extinguisher also includes: hard rubber discharge hose, 50 ft; fill cap indicator; spoked metal wheels; and corrosion control coating. Equipped with the stan- dard Ansul dry chemical discharge nozzle, rated 7.5 lb./sec., with a nominal effective range (still air) of 30 ft. Discharge time of a fully- charged extinguisher is approximately 40 seconds.
 
Williams’ “PKW™” is a potassium bicarbonate based dry chemical containing colorized additives. It is a highly specialized siliconized Purple-K (deep purple color) that is one of the most effective dry chemicals used to extinguish flammable and/or combustible liquid fires. The agent is free-flowing, water repellent and non abrasive and, when used as a fire extinguishing agent, will produce no toxic effects.
